Every Friday is Jeans Friday at OA. If you feel compelled to donate, you can drop off your $1 donation to a designated container / jar in your building's mailbox area or, if easier, to any of the OATA Executive Members in your building. You can also pay for the whole year or partial year if you would like to. The dollar donation each week is put into the Dan Gilbert, John Mikulski, and Glenn Waldron Memorial Scholarship Funds. All three of these wonderful individuals were members of the OA community who left us way too soon. They had a profound effect on everyone from students to staff to the community. This is a great way to continue to honor their memory and help students get scholarships.

The Oakfield-Alabama Social Committee shall assume responsibility for creating fundraisers to raise money for the Association to be used for scholarships, retirement dinners and other expenses that benefit the Association. It shall be responsible for planning all the social and recreational programs of the Association, and for extending invitations to all members of the professional staff. This committee will also be responsible for planning the spring retiree dinner and will initiate activities to help build a positive rapport between the Association and the members of the community.
